Up for sale is a 2003 Korean-made Epiphone Joe Pass Emperor II, built at the highly regarded Unsung factory. If you know these, you know—this is from the era people specifically look for.
This is a full hollowbody jazz box (no center block), with a warm, woody acoustic character and classic humbucker smoothness when plugged in. It’s equally at home for jazz, indie, or clean ambient work, and can get gritty if you push it—but like any true hollowbody, it’ll feed back at higher gain/volume.
The guitar is in very good condition overall. Finish shows light surface wear consistent with age, but nothing major. Hardware is clean. Pots and switch would benefit from a cleaning or replacement. They do function, but there is some scratchiness as this is a 23 year old instrument with all original components.
Includes the original Epiphone hard shell case (shown), which has cosmetic wear on the exterior but is fully functional and protects the guitar well.
