2002 Gibson Flying V Crescent Moon and in pretty dang good shape. Considered a classic at 2002 being that it’s 20+ yrs old, I feel old now ha. Ebony fretboard with pearlescent half crescent moon inlays hints the name “Crescent Moon” make this particular model somewhat sought after as it was a limited run in the early 2000’s just like its brother and sister the “Gothic” and the “Voodoo”. Minor digs and scratches on one side of the wing and slightly on the end horns of each wing, other than that what you see is what you get. No minor or major damage, no cracks anywhere, especially the headstock or base of neck, no warping and no major fret ware. I really did my best to take care of this beauty as it was my main axe for yrs and a carried it like a baby. I’ve since converted it from its original state into a metal and doom metal machine with all ”Hipshot” hardware (tuners, string saddle and bridge) battle hardened pick guard depicting a axe wielding barbaric woman and I gutted all the extra volume and tone knobs leaving one big 70’s inspired stereo style knob, my favorite! yes, I do have all the original hardware that will be shipped with in case you want to easily convert it back. You’re basically getting an extra $400 worth of hip shot hardware for free! This guitar has options, whether you’re wanting to tear down the walls with extreme metal sounds utilizing the additional active battery compartment I installed in the back of the Guitar’s body allowing you to use active pick ups or just keep it simple and stick with the original design/hardware to keep that classic look and sound, you have options. The pick ups depicted in these pictures are that of the original pick ups. I hope someone can give her a good home and get the use out of her as I did for so many yrs but also take care of her. She’s kinda rare and these “crescent moons” are getting harder and harder to find at a descent price and since I don’t play anymore I figure it’s time to pass it on to the next player.
