Maker: Gibson Japan - FujiGen
Year: 2001
Model: Epiphone Les Paul Standard - LPS-80
Description:
This is the one. I love Japanese made electric guitars because their build quality is exceptional, and FujiGen is a master instrument maker. Gibson had FujiGen make these spot Les Paul's for the Japanese domestic market, this one has everything Gibson spec, but the price. The long tenon, the correct headstock shape AND angle and premium woods. The Gibson Inspired they're pumping out of China nowadays aren't even close.
This is a player, and it shows wear but there are NO issues. Neck is straight and true, truss rod works, there are NO breaks and the frets have plenty of life.
The pickups are Gibson 57/57+ and the pots were upgraded to Gibson tone pots with Orange caps, with push-push volume pots for coil splitting. The 3 way and output jack are USA made Switchcraft. The tuners are LOCKING Gotoh. switch and output jack. Pickups are not original, but are nice. They show wear but have no issues.
This is an amazing guitar. It plays and sound great, it's setup with 9s and is easy to rip on it. It comes with the Road Runner hardshell case that is in great condition.
