I have a 2021 Paul Reed Smith Fiore guitar here with its factory soft case.
Conditionally, this guitar looks nice with just light signs of use.
The body top shows a little bit of light surface level guitar pick strumming. This is going to be below the pickups and then a few marks above the pickups. Any similar superficial swirling will be minimal anywhere else. There will be scattered traces of surface swirling, but not an accumulated sheen or buildup. I found a couple micro surface indentations that are about the size of a pencil tip, but no notable marks.
The body sides and edges show just a faint amount of scuffing near the lower strap button, consistent with regular use of a guitar strap. I didn't find any dings, bumps, or chips across the perimeter. There are no neck pocket cracks.
The body back shows faint traces of surface swirling here and there and a couple minor surface scratches. I see about a centimeter of little surface scratching clustered just below the back plate, but nothing I would constitute as buckle rash or worming. There's no buildup of any heavy playwear, there's just a light scattering of surface level signs of use.
The neck shaft contour looks and feels excellent, with nothing to report there. The headstock looks excellent with no chips or dings. The frets are tall and full, showing no pitting or divots. The setup plays nicely. The original electronics are working as they should.
So this one rates an 8.9/10 and grades as very good. Consider it on the better side of very good, just shy of what I list conservatively as excellent. I found no notable marks or conditionals on this guitar, and no buildup or saturation of any playwear. It has what amounts to a light scattering of surface playwear here and there. It looks good. The pictures do it justice. It is structurally and sonically sound and plays and sounds great.
This is a versatile "can do everything" type guitar. The neck contour reminds me a bit of an Eric Clapton Strat. It has a slight soft V shaping and is extremely comfortable and ergonomic to play. The bridge appears to be the same type that the Silver Sky uses. Which is aiming for a classic vintage Strat tonality. The body is well sculped. And is perhaps a bit chunkier than some Strats which begets more lower midrange and low end EQ response. It has the "bolt in" neck joint similar to the CE series which sits between the snap and punch of a bolt on and the power and sustain of a true set-neck guitar. It has traits of both. Truly a great neck joint.
The pickups sound great. Toneful and classic but with more along the lines of contemporary power. Overall it is a beautiful guitar creation.
This guitar will be carefully packed, with sufficient filler and bracing in
the shipping box and if needed a little in the case. I will detune the
strings about one half a step prior to shipment. Another step i take is i
will denote for it to be shipped "standing" with arrows drawn on the outer
box and it will be marked fragile as well. It will be meticulously packed.
Thank you for reading and considering!
