ARIA DIAMOND 1532T - MK I - MATSUMOKU JAPAN OFFSET - Late 60s / Early 70s

Super vintage Japanese offset in super condition.

High quality Matsumoku build and all-original.

Aria (Arai as it was then) released these in the late 60s as their Jaguar-cum-Jazzmaster. This is the earliest MKI version - with the rocker switch selectors and 'Reinforced Neck'.

Condition-wise...

Very good. Only minor blemishes to the body.

These guitars are beautifully light. It's actually a mahogany body but it's such a lovely slim design. About 30mm at its thickest point.

Aria necks from this period are uniformly superb. This is no exception.

It's in great shape along with the fretboard. The head has seen the worst of play wear over the 55 or so years of its life. (See photos)

Frets have some wear but nothing to affect intonation. A good choke-free action across the fretboard.

The chrome is well preserved, original knobs and tuners are all good.

The electrics function perfectly. Even the often-absent vibrato arm is present.

Sound-wise, these vintage Aria ceramic single coil pickups are super responsive and make the most distinctive of vintage tones.

In Summary...

A great example of a very cool vintage Japanese guitar. So cool they reissued it. (see the Aria 1532T Retro). Ready to go full Magazine or Radiohead as you prefer.

The vintage hard case (pictured) is included.
