1979 Fender Telecaster
Previous owner had refinished the guitar, it’s close to a Sherwood Green, but it’s a got its own thing going on. The finish is unique, glossy, and parts of the woodgrain are peeking through; but it adds some really cool character, a gorgeous guitar, truly one of a kind.
Aside from the refin, the bridge pickup and pick guard have been replaced. Not sure about the brand of the bridge pickup, but it sounds nice, a bit more mellow than your typical unpotted 70s bridge pickup. Everything else is original and in very good condition for its age. The frets have plenty of life left, the 70s c shaped neck feels great and the action is nice and low. The hardware is showing a bit of patina, typical for its age. A nick or two are present on the body, but nothing major cosmetically. Slight pocket gap on the cutaway side, typical with fenders from this era, but I haven’t had any issues. Weighing in at 9lbs 13oz. Original case and ashtray cover included.
A one of a kind players grade vintage option for those looking to up their guitar game!
