Hello!..
Here is a harder to find Premier finish drum in ….Oyster……
All metal parts are very shiny!..Did a Dawn bath on them…..
I dismantled the drum, and. applied Novus 2 plastic polish to give the outer shell around the best shine you can give it…Looks great…..
Drum is circa EARLY 1970…
Reason I say early..is….…
it is pretty well established that Premier went to African Mahogany Inside their drums from AROUND 1970-1975…and….1970 was AROUND the time they started with serial numbers…..
Since my drum has serial numbers..and the older “dagger” mount…..and birch interior,,…it is NOT after 1975,when they went back to birch inside the drums…
So,all I can assume is…that this is a very early 1970 drum….right before they went to African mahogany inside….maybe using up the last of birch drums?
Seems plausible to me,anyway!.
I have the “dagger” mount for sale on here too….in another listing ,if needed.
I also have a MATCHING Oyster …5.5 by 14” ..WOOD SHELL …2001 model snare drum….early 1970’s…….i can list..if interested
NO EXTRA HOLES IN DRUM…Snare drum is African Mahogany inside….
Thanks for looking!
