The D'Angelico Excel EXL-1A is an acoustic-electric archtop guitar designed for an organic tone. It is part of the Excel series and features a 17-inch wide, 3-inch deep, single-cutaway body.

Acoustic-Electric Design: Unlike the standard EXL-1 which often features a floating humbucker, the EXL-1A is designed for an acoustic-first sound, featuring an electro-core piezo pickup.
Electronics: It features no-knob electronics for a clean aesthetic.
Construction: Features a laminated spruce top and flamed maple back/sides, paired with a 3-piece maple/walnut/maple neck and ebony fretboard.
Hardware: Includes Grover Super Rotomatic tuners and a D'Angelico Stairstep tailpiece.
