The Nakamichi RX-202 is a highly regarded vintage cassette deck from 1982, famous for its unique UDAR (Uni-Directional Auto Reverse) system that physically flips the tape rather than reversing direction, ensuring superior azimuth alignment.
Cosmetic Condition: Where Excellent usually connotes a completely flawless piece, this deck is Near Mint/Excellent in every way, except for a small scratch on the top left of the metal chassis (photo) that's it.
Service History: Here at the shop we did routine testing, cleaning and inspection. The previous owner is a local tech who did the following work recently: installed new belts and a rubber idler, all switches and contact points were cleaned and de-oxit was applied. The heads were cleaned and de-magnetized and the 'flipper' mechanism was cleaned and re-lubed.
