The Ibanez GB10 is a classic jazz guitar

Tired of the finicky nature of traditional archtop guitars, George Benson long sought an instrument that could withstand the rigors of heavy touring. The answer was the now legendary GB10, Ibanez' first signature model that was deigned in conjunction with Benson back in 1978. Meticulously crafted in Japan, the GB10 features a spruce top, petite  14 3/4" maple body, and a maple neck. Hardware includes twin floating humuckers, Gotoh tuners, and Benson's unique adjustable tailpiece. The nut is George's split bone/brass design which yields a unique tonal character.

The GB10 is highly versatile and easy to play

The unique, small bodied design of the GB10 was revolutionary for it's time. The combination of a 14 3/4" body and a short 24 3/4" scale length make the GB10 very comfortable and easy to play, especially when standing up. The twin humbucking pickups allow for a wide tonal pallet that is capable of anything from a clean jazz tone to a gritty blues and funk. The laminate top and thin body make this instrument highly feedback resistant and structurally stable in all sorts of climates.

Meticulous craftsmanship and high grade materials result in a stunning instrument

Constructed in Ibanez' Japanese custom shop, the GB10 features extremely high level workmanship and materials. Every detail, from the 5 ply binding to the pearl fingerboard and headstock inlays are done to perfection. Ibanez' Prestige fretwork allows for easy, buzz free playing at with low action.

Come and see why this road tested design has remained the first choice for George Benson!
