I’ve modded it with a dual speed half speed switch so It’s capable of playing back normal speed 4.75cm/s tapes.
the machine at stock is a high speed [double speed] 9.5cm/s machine but my switch toggle allows tapes recorded at normal speed 4.75cm/s [commercial tapes for example] to be played back.
ideal for ambient experimental tape loops and hainbach style tape looping.
Some marks and scuffs on the body but it doesn’t affect its performance
Tape reset button has sheared off but can still be pressed with a small stick or pen
Cassette included
the rubbery coating has not started to go tacky and it could benefit with a clean - i have refrained from cleaning it as i do not want to disturb or scratch off the coating - very common flaw in tascam porta 07.
UK power supply included - takes 12v dc Center negative
Will be packed nicely for tracked insured courier delivery
