This is a beautiful Oahu Deluxe (likely Model 263K), manufactured for the Oahu Publishing Company by Kay or Valco around 1938–1940. The distinctive "gold scrollwork" or stencil design identifies it as a higher-end model from that era, often referred to as a "Deluxe" or "Diana" pre-war model.
It is in very good to excellent condition and definitely of collector/investment/museum Qaulity!
The Amplifier is a matching 1930s Oahu tube amp in working, original condition it is a very find and is seldom found circa correct with a guitar in a package! It is also in very good to excellent condition.
If the amp is going to be used regularly and gigged we would recommend an immediate upgrade to a three prong , grounded cord!
• Functionality: The amplifier has its original transformers and hasn't been modified. Note 1930s amps often need a "cap job" (replacing old capacitors) to be safe to play.
• The Stencil: The gold artwork on these is notoriously fragile. this one is crisp and well preserved .
• Case & Accessories: The package incudes the original "geib" style hard case!
This amplifier has its original two-prong power cord, please be cautious. Those old "death caps" can be a shock hazard. Most collectors prefer a grounded three-prong cord for actual use, though some purists like them kept 100% stock for display.
