Martin D-28 1981 Used Acoustic Guitar 

The world-standard acoustic guitar, the "D-28." Following the American folk music boom of the 1960s. This model lives up to its reputation as a global standard. This particular instrument, manufactured in 1981, retains a strong 1970s flair. Features include a spruce top, rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, square rod, ebony fingerboard and bridge, original Mikarta nut and saddle, pearl dot fingerboard inlays, Schaller Rotomatic tuning machines, and non-scalloped X-bracing. It has the thick, sweet sound characteristic of the square rod era. It has a rich, firm bass and a slightly sweet, sustained high range. This one in particular has more sustain and sweater mids and highs than many others I’ve played. It is for sale at my music store and many people that have played it comment on how great it sounds with tons of punch, vol and sustain. The tone is well-balanced and extremely easy to play. The non-scalloped X bracing provides ample tolerance for powerful picking and a solid, solid sound. The rich, sweet tone and clear, brilliant tone are unique to this period. While there are signs of aging, such as scratches around the soundhole, minor impact marks, and some small finish chips on the top side where the right arm would rest, also one small crack in the upper sound hole that was repair, ( glued and cleated). This guitar is in very good condition considering its 40-year history. it was very well cared for! The neck is also in good condition, and while there is little remaining on the saddle, it still feels comfortable to play. This guitar is still in excellent condition and ready for heavy use.
