A Pickup Configuration Unlike Anything Else in the SE Series

The SE Swamp Ash Special runs an HSH layout with a twist: the bridge and neck positions use 85/15 "S" humbuckers, while the middle position features the PRS-Designed AS-01 Single Coil — a pickup that combines alnico and steel (hence "AS") in a taller bobbin design for added mass and a more powerful, focused output than a standard single coil. The result is a middle position with real presence and authority, not just a thin in-between tone.

The 5-way blade switch gives you five distinct pickup combinations, and the push/pull tone control adds coil-splitting for even more tonal options.
