Pioneer SQ-9800 Vintage Hi-Fi EQ

The Pioneer SG-9800 is a classic 12-band stereo graphic equalizer manufactured between 1980 and 1981. Highly regarded by collectors as part of Pioneer's "Blue Line" series, it is known for its gleaming silver faceplate and 24 illuminated red LED sliders that visually represent the frequency curve. It was the final silver-faced equalizer before Pioneer transitioned to the gold/champagne-colored SG-9.

Cosmetic Condition: This one is in Excellent cosmetic and electronic condition. It also had a few stubborn buttons fixed by our tech.

The graphic equalizer divides the audio frequency spectrum into 12 segments from 16Hz to 32 kHz, with each segment corresponding to an octave. Individual controls for each segment provide continuous adjustment (from -10dB to +10dB) and allow the sound to be contoured in order to compensate for equipment and speaker characteristics, listening room acoustics or personal preferences.
