About this piece?
Straight out of the blackguard era. Early ’50s Fender Telecaster ashtray cover—the real deal. No reissue nonsense, no shine that screams “last Tuesday.” This is that soft, honest chrome with the kind of wear you only get from decades of sitting over a bridge while somebody played something worth listening to.
Condition?
Used, and thank goodness for it. Proper patina, light oxidation inside, edges telling the truth. Exactly what you want. If it were mint, you’d be asking questions.
Fit?
Vintage spec Tele bridge—’50s style. Drops right on like it’s been waiting its whole life to come home.
Why this matters?
Because these are the first things players removed… and the first things collectors go hunting for 60 years later.
Let’s just say this—
A blackguard without the ashtray is like a tuxedo without the jacket. Still good… but not the whole picture.
