Up for sale is a Tacoma M3 mandolin, built during Tacoma’s prime years (late ‘90s–mid 2000s). These are well-regarded for their all-solid wood construction and warm, balanced tone—and this one is no exception.
This mandolin plays great and sounds even better, with excellent projection and a woody, articulate voice that works well for bluegrass, folk, or recording. It’s been well cared for and is structurally in excellent shape.
Cosmetically, it presents very nicely overall, with one known issue common to many Tacoma instruments of this era: the lacquer on the headstock is peeling. This is purely a finish issue and does not affect playability or stability.
The body and neck are in excellent condition with no dings, dents, or scratches. The gold tailpiece shows minor wear where some of the plating has rubbed off, but nothing unusual for its age.
Includes the original matching hardshell case.
