Hey check this out. A 1975 Alvarez 5059 in pretty good shape with the original 1976 receipt, hang tags and chipboard case.It sounds great, though isn't perfect, with a couple of tiny dings on the top and a tiny screw hole from moving the strap button. . Nothing terrible, but in the name of transparency, they are there. The price is set accordingly. Martin D 28 clone with snowflake inlay , herringbone purfling and back stripe. Back and sides are Indian Rosewood and top is solid Spruce. Made in Japan. This era copies are scary good. Check the photos. Close as your going to get to a true D28 for under $500.
