Short Description:
A Gorgeous Marvi Classical Guitar made in Spain by Andres Marvi, with Cedar/Rosewood/Maple Construction!
What We Think:
Condition: Used, Very Good. This guitar has a top crack that has been repaired prior to coming to us, among other cosmetic marks. This guitar has been well loved and played.
SP Luthier Notes: A majority of frets showed evidence of play wear. As such, the frets were leveled, recrowned, and polished back to a near mint state. The back seam of the instrument was beginning to come apart, and our luthier fixed and verified the stability of the back seam. Finally, the fret ends were reshaped to allow for dead smooth playability! No further work was required.
Manufacturer Description:
Andrés Daniel Marvi was born in 1956 and has built guitars in his workshop near Granada, Spain for about 30 years. As a child, he learned to play the guitar, and after his Abitur (A-Level, high-school diploma) he worked as a guitar teacher. He started to get interested in guitar building as well as sound production around this time. He took part in a guitar building class led by the famous luthier José Romanillos in 1984 and proved his technical talent there. In 1985 he passed his guitar building exams in Erlangen and moved to Spain two years later.
