Slingerland Gene Krupa Mid 60s 3 Piece Drum Set - White Marine Pearl

This is a great looking and sounding kit. Condition is very good to excellent.

The 3 pc. is the Gene Krupa Deluxe Outfit No. 1. Very nice original wrap and hardware. The 14"x20" bass drum is badge # 160622; The 16"x16" floor tom is badge # 163242; The 9"x13" rack tom is badge # 160664. These have no date stamps. the dating chart I used puts them at 1967. All tone controls are present and original. All of the heads were replaced. Issues: A previous owner had drilled 2 holes to reposition the consolette I covered those holes with WMP wrap. If you zoom in to the left of the badge on the top photo, they are visible. The bass drum spur mounts were mismatched and the threads were stripped. I was able to find a nearly new set in the correct year. The hoops needed paint, so I masked off the inlays and repainted the hoops with semi-gloss. The floor tom has 1 leg slightly bent but does not bind.

The floor tom came with an incorrect bottom hoop and tension rods. I had the correct COB hoop and found the correct t-rods on line.

The bearing edges are original round.
