This is the Rickenbacker Limited 4003, finished in the rare and highly sought-after “Blue Boy” color, which was reissued as a special color in 2014. Although it is called Blue Boy, the actual shade is closer to a greenish Surf Green.
It features a maple body and a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, joined in a through-neck construction. This through-neck design helps provide excellent sustain.
Each pickup has its own tone circuit, allowing for a wide variety of sound shaping options. One of the great attractions of this model is that it can produce tones quite different from a traditional Jazz Bass or Precision Bass. This is not a model that appears often on the market, so if you have been looking for one, this is a great opportunity.
I am also selling the 360 Blue Boy (2014) that was released at the same time. It is quite rare to find both the guitar and bass in this color available together in one place. Why not add both to your collection?
The weight is approximately 4.4 kg.
There is one scratch on the tip of the headstock, but aside from that there are no other noticeable scratches and the overall condition is very good. The frets also have plenty of life remaining. A finger rest is installed.
The only included accessory is the original hard case.
(No warranty card or other paperwork is included.)
Please note that this is a used item.
There are no issues with its current functionality, but please understand that you may need to make further adjustments after purchase to suit your preferences.
