Fender Custom Shop ‘50/‘51 Blackguard pickup set. This is an excellent sounding set of pickups - they are very clear, articulate, and responsive. I especially enjoyed the neck pickup.
These are listed as “good” condition because the neck pickup has been mounted with machine screws through a pickguard, like a modern tele pickup, instead of with wood screws under the pickguard like how it was done in the 50s. This enlarged the mount holes on the neck pickup slightly and the wood mount screws (which are slightly narrower than the pickguard mount screws) don’t bite in the holes anymore. I would recommend only purchasing this set if you intent to mount the neck pickup in a pickguard rather than a direct wood mount. they will work perfectly for that. wood mount is likely sill possible, but would require a foam spacer behind the pickup. I will include both types of mounting screws.
