Vintage GE 3-5027A portable cassette recorder modified as a lo-fi guitar input device. Run your guitar directly in and let the tape circuit do the work. This little unit delivers a toy-grade saturated character that gets progressively more distorted as volume increases. Pocket sized and runs on standard AA batteries making it genuinely portable for practice, recording, or performance use. Two output options available: speaker out for full tape saturation and headphone jack for a comparatively cleaner signal path for direct recording into a DAW or interface. PLAY button activates the unit. Sold as a lo-fi audio tool, not a tape player.
