2007 Gibson Les Paul Standard '59 Yamano Custom Shop Historic Reissue Tom Murphy Aged Edwin Wilson- Sunrise Teaburst.
This is a really amazing example of Tom Murphy's aging process on a '59 Les Paul historic. If you're a student of real bursts you'll notice that this guitar has that faded sunburst color that the we all love. This particular guitar was a special order for the Japanese market and distributer Yamano and finished in a custom color Sunrise Teaburst. It somehow didn't go to Japan and our customer in the US has had it for years.
From the collection of Todd Puma is this 2007 Gibson Custom Shop Yamano '59 Reissue Les Paul.
Weight: 4.1kg
This exceptional Les Paul comes from Gibson’s Historic Collection. This instrument was aged entirely by Tom Murphy himself, not to be confuse with the modern Murphy Lab, featuring a level of detail and realism that set a new benchmark for Gibson’s Custom Shop.
The lacquer checking, subtle wear patterns, and patina are breathtakingly authentic.
The top shows a beautifully figured maple very difficult to capture in photos.
Even unplugged, this guitar resonates with exceptional liveliness and sustain, translating beautifully when amplified through the amp.
These were the golden days of the Gibson Custom Shop, when Tom Murphy and the legendary Edwin Wilson worked side by side to create some of the most iconic reissues ever built.
Aside from minimal signs of use, the guitar remains in excellent condition — including its original frets — and comes ready to deliver pure ’59 magic to its next owner.
Condition: This guitar is 100% original and in excellent shape. The guitar was professionally setup recently with fresh strings.
Includes: comes with the Gibson Certificate of Authenticity and all case candy, as well as the original case. The plastics were changed on this, but all of the originals are included.
