The 1982 Fender ’62 JV Series Jazz Bass in Sunburst, bearing serial number JV00937, is an early example from Fender Japan’s first vintage reissue line. It has an alder body finished in a classic three-tone sunburst, paired with a period-correct tortoiseshell pickguard.
The neck is maple with a rosewood fingerboard featuring a vintage-style radius, dot inlays, and the slim early-1960s Jazz Bass profile that became known for its comfortable, fast feel. Fender Japan replicated early American models during the initial JV production period and as everyone knows the quality is exceptional.
