Pair of hoops that came of a neglected bass drum. They are both solid and useable but there are some warping issues with the one that was on the batter side. Both feel solid but feel slightly dried out and both appear to have an inner ply crack. Pushing on it doesn’t give the impression that they are or ever ever were cracked all the way through.
One hoop is pretty nice overall in terms of flatness and roundness and the other one is useable but has a flat spot warp on the batter side and is generally slightly more wonky. both very useable for a player set but not ideal if you are trying to complete a collector type set.
Both hoops have the original red silk inlay under the paint that some yahoo sprayed on them.
