Never seen Ampeg offer a VT-40 in a head enclosure? That's because they didn't!
This sweet VT-40 began life as a combo, and at some point was separated from its speakers and rehoused in this sweet natural woodgrain head enclosure by Janice Cabs!
This Ampeg gives you classic Fender-style tones, but with much greater tonal flexibility. The Bass control gives you plus or minus 12dB at 40hz, Treble control plus or minus 12dB at 4000hz, and the Midrange control allows you to choose plus or minus 12dB of either 300, 800, or 3000hz. And that extra UltraHi control allows you to boost an extra 12dB of 8000hz.
On top of those frequency options, the VT-40 also has an on-board overdrive/distortion, spring reverb, and tremolo.
This sweet head conversion shows signs of use (clearly the previous owner played it enough to feel the need to mark their favorite settings on it), but it functions flawlessly! We'll ship it to you super safe and sound! Feel free to give us a call with any questions you may have about it!
