Up for sale is my 2022 Fender Custom Shop Heavy Relic Telecaster in an Aged 2-Tone Sunburst finish, serial #R123901. I am the original owner.

This is a fantastic Custom Shop Tele that really delivers everything you’d hope for in a great relic’d blackguard-style guitar: lightweight, great feel, tons of character, and classic Tele tone. At only 7.2 lbs, it’s comfortable and well-balanced, and it has that lively, broken-in feel that makes it hard to put down.

For me, what really stands out about this guitar is how resonant and alive it is. Even unplugged, it is surprisingly loud, with a strong, woody acoustic voice and a lot of vibration in your hands and against your body. It has that kind of natural resonance that usually tells you right away you’re holding a special guitar.

Plugged in, it gives you everything you want from a great ’52-style Tele: twang, snap, warmth, bite, and clarity, with excellent responsiveness and plenty of personality. It’s equally at home for classic country, blues, rock, roots, and anything else where a great Tele just works.
