This is a used Komet 19 amp head. The item pictured is the one you will receive. It has been tested and gone over by the experts at our shop to ensure it's working properly and is free of issues, unless otherwise noted in this listing. - Any wear of note: The amp is in overall amazing shape and very clean with no real wear of note. The seams on the front corners are showing ever so slightly, but nothing at all to worry about.

- General notes: This amp was just sent back to Komet and fully re-tubed, checked over and given a clean bill of health by the original builder, Mike! This Komet 19 (serial # 18) was built January 08, 2009. Komet's impeccable build quality, craftsmanship and design are revered by so many, and for good reason. This particular amp features 19-watts of huge, open sounding/feeling and touch responsive tones that make these amps an utter dream to play. It features the classic tube pairing of EL84's and 12AX7's with a simple, yet very reactive, set of controls. And all topped off with a really sweet aesthetic that's fresh, yet classic. It's an absolutely stellar amp that you'll be glad is in your arsenal!

The Komet® 19 is unlike any low-wattage amplifier you’ve played - extremely powerful, with rich harmonic layers and three dimensional sound. Its unique and proprietary “Thrust” control fine tunes the amplifier’s response to your guitar’s output and personal tonal preference. Lower settings allow for maximum clean headroom, while turning the Thrust up thickens the tone and increases harmonic distortion for a more saturated lead tone. It also helps anemic guitar pickups to drive the amplifier’s output stage into natural compression.

Another facet of the Komet® 19’s voicing is that is easy to record — it has been used in many major studios, and recording engineers always remark on how amazing it “goes to tape”. A three position bright switch allows the user to fine tune the amplifier’s treble content to their preference.

Conveniently light weight and portable, the Komet® 19 is powered by a duet of cathode biased EL84 output tubes. The pre amp incorporates two 12AX7 tubes. Meticulously assembled with only the best sounding and most reliable parts.
