This flute is being sold to benefit the Raleigh Area Flute Association, a 501(c)3 organization.
Despite its vintage, it has a rich, powerful tone and a light touch for fast passages.
The flute is in excellent physical condition and has been cleaned and polished. It is in need of repadding and perhaps a full overhaul to get it to perfect condition.
For another $800-$1,500 of work you will have a professional level instrument that’s selling for $6,500 at FCNY.
This is a great bargain for a student heading off to a college music program or for a pro player as a backup.
