Edwards Tenor Trombone – Excellent Player – Fantastic Slide – Cosmetic Lacquer Wear

I’m selling this Edwards tenor trombone that I purchased in August 2025 as a temporary horn while waiting for a custom Edwards build. It’s been a great instrument — very responsive, easy to play, and it projects clearly with minimal effort. This would make an excellent orchestral or all-around tenor for the right player.

The slide is outstanding — truly a classy 11. I’m very picky about slides, and this one was smooth and responsive right when I bought it. It remains fast, consistent, and dependable across all positions.

The horn plays very easily and speaks quickly. It “cuts” well without needing a lot of effort. Ultimately, I moved to a larger setup that I could push harder, but this is a very comfortable, efficient horn that rewards a relaxed approach.

Condition notes (fully transparent):

  • There is lacquer wear on the bell and tuning slide. This is purely cosmetic and does not affect playability at all.
  • The Thayer valve works better than when I bought it
  • The valve screw is not the original factory screw. It functions perfectly, but if you prefer everything factory-original, you may want to replace it.

Otherwise, the horn is in excellent playing condition and has been well cared for.

This is a great Edwards tenor with:

  • Excellent slide (seriously, a great one)
  • Easy response
  • Clear projection
  • Comfortable blow
  • Reliable Thayer valve

Only selling because my custom Edwards arrived.
