Condition

Excellent, especially considering the age.

• Finish remains very clean with only light age‑appropriate marks
• Hardware intact and original
• Electronics clean, quiet, and functioning exactly as they should
• Neck is straight, truss rod responsive
• Frets in very good condition

A major reason for the condition is that the bass has lived for over 30 years in a custom flight case, not on stages or in damp storage.

Case (Important)

Included is a heavy‑duty custom flight case, professionally built by:

5 Star Cases Ltd – Wisbech, Cambridgeshire

• Custom‑fitted
• New internal impact foam
• The bass has been stored in this case for decades
• Excellent protection and a real value‑add

This is not a generic case — it was purpose‑built for this instrument.

Recent Service

The bass has just been professionally restrung and serviced at:

Absolute Music – Bournemouth, England

It plays beautifully and is ready to go — no work required.

Why this one matters

USA Ironbird basses from this era are:

• Genuinely collectible
• Much rarer than guitars
• Increasingly hard to find in original, unmodified condition

Add to that:

• Original owner provenance
• Never gigged
• Long‑term case storage
• USA build
• Original DiMarzio pickups

…and you have an example that stands well above average.
