A rare Leo Fender-era G&L, this 1987 Invader is a standout from G&L’s mid-to-late ‘80s lineup. Featuring an HSS configuration, factory Kahler tremolo with arm, and unique switching layout, it captures the high-performance design approach of the era while maintaining the solid build quality G&L is known for.
This example appears to have been refinished in white, likely matching its original color. It presents very well overall with only minor cosmetic wear here and there. The guitar has just been cleaned, restrung with D’Addario EXL110 strings, and is playing nicely.
The electronics appear non original, with three individual dip switches for each pickup, along with master volume and master tone controls.
The neck feels straight and stable. There is some fret wear consistent with age, but it plays well as-is with room for future setup work if desired.
