the easy to read large meter goes way up to 25k gm mmhs! which comes in handy w/ high power military tubes >130 %
+ features long lasting phosphor bronze tube sockets, shorts + leakage tests, and gas + grid emission tests over 100 megohms
the good: tested + working top of the line (rare 10th annivesary) vintage mutual conductance tube tester from 1976
the meter is clear (and not damaged like most!) we tested: low scale 12ax7, high scale 6dj8, + 6550 power tube (photos)
the shorts bogey test/light works, the gas meter gauge is responsive, and the top panel is very clean w/ all screws intact
the case is in considerably better condition than most examples out there! w/ no mold smell, minimal tarnish, + 4 feet intact
the handle is nice considering age, and the lever action is smooth + crisp, and original knobs intact (rare, usually cracked)
+ includes the original manual (crisp condition! not soiled) and the original '76 tube chart is one of the cleanest examples (see photos for calibration notes at end of manual!)
the so-so: the sockets have not been serviced or cleaned (see bronze socket info above), yet some like to utilize deoxit/contact cleaner
the meter wiggles a tiny bit, so restoration specialists/refurbishers might check the cap behind the meter or the gm cap
the case needs a bottom bolt (often missing), + the tiny red (lower left side) connector needs a splice tap or electrical tape
