This Fender Jazz Bass neck hails from the mid-’70s—either 1974 or 1975—right in that sweet spot where CBS-era quirk meets rock-solid vintage mojo. It’s got all the hallmarks: the bullet truss rod, the 3-bolt micro-tilt neck heel, and most importantly, the bold pre-1976 logo still standing proud on the headstock. The original date stamp has faded into the past, likely rubbed away by decades of playing and handling, but it still shows the hands of time in the best ways.

This one’s been modded for smooth sailing—someone swapped in a fretless fingerboard that brings in a classy dark rosewood look with offset pearloid dots and a crisp single-ply white binding that rides the edge cleanly. There’s one spot at the 12th fret where the finish looks to have lifted years ago, but it’s been sealed over with clearcoat, leaving a silky surface that won’t flake or snag. Some light binding shrinkage has left a few cosmetic hairline gaps around the maple edge, purely cosmetic. It won’t detract from playability or feel.

On the back heel, you’ll find Fender’s old-school craftsmanship proudly stamped by M. Pereida and H. Cox—hands that passed through the Fullerton factory when it was still putting out giants. There’s a few leftover mounting holes from previous basses this neck has seen time on, and we’ve left them untouched so the next owner can choose what suits their build best. Whether you're restoring a vintage Jazz Bass or throwing this onto a custom fretless project, this one’s got that true Fender soul and story built right in.
