1980 Aria Pro II TS-600 Tri-Sound Series Natural w/ Neck-Thru Construction, Versatile Electronics

Step back into the golden age of boutique-style guitars with this Aria Pro II TS-600 from the legendary Tri-Sound series. Built at the esteemed Matsumoku factory, this guitar is steeped in late 70s style craftsmanship, channeling the aesthetic of original B.C. Rich and boutique Alembic guitars of the era. With its neck-through construction, brass nut, intricate electronics, and timeless walnut body, this TS-600 is a rare find for players and collectors alike.

The TS-600 boasts a neck-through design featuring a three-piece maple neck with walnut stringers, seamlessly flowing into the straight-grained walnut body wings. Along with the brass nut, this construction not only enhances sustain but gives the guitar a stunning, cohesive look. The natural wood tones are complemented by the high-gloss finish, making this guitar a striking centerpiece in any collection.

The electronics are as exciting as its looks. Drawing inspiration from Neal Moser’s iconic B.C. Rich layouts, the TS-600 features a hot-rodded electronic setup designed to unlock endless tonal possibilities. You’ll find independent coil taps for each pickup, a phase reverse switch, and a versatile 6-way VariTone circuit that shapes your sound with a range of tonal contours. As if that weren’t enough, the onboard preamp delivers a scorching boost, adding distortion or extra gain to any tone you dial in. Topping it all off are a master volume and tone control for easy adjustments on the fly. Whether you want silky cleans, gritty edge, or full-blown distortion, this guitar can do it all.

This TS-600 is in great shape for its age and includes the original hardshell case. There are a couple of dings/scratches on the top, but thankfully, the back of the neck is entirely free from wear. If you’re looking for a unique, vintage instrument with character, versatility, and boutique craftsmanship, this Aria Pro II TS-600 is the perfect addition to your lineup. It’s a true testament to the ingenuity of the Matsumoku factory and a guitar that will keep you inspired for years to come.
