Martin D-28 Museum Edition 1941 New Old Stock w/ OHSC
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a masterpiece of tone. We have a Martin D-28 Museum Edition 1941, an instrument that is "New Old Stock" (NOS), sourced from another Martin Dealer that closed. This guitar was never sold to the public and is in pristine condition, with the only signs of play being a few minor pick scratches on the pickguard. It is, without a doubt, one of the finest sounding guitars to ever come through our shop.
This model is a meticulous, part-for-part recreation of a specific 1941 D-28 (serial #79103) from the C.F. Martin Museum.1 Martin famously used a CAT scan machine to capture every minute detail of the original, resulting in one of the most accurate historical replicas ever produced.2 It features premium tonewoods, including a solid Adirondack spruce top and solid Madagascar rosewood back and sides, all held together with hide glue construction.3
The sound is everything you would expect from a golden-era-inspired dreadnought: powerful, articulate, and complex, with the dry, woody voice that defines vintage Martins. This is a top-tier instrument that represents a pinnacle of Martin's historic reissue series. It comes with its original deluxe Harptone hardshell case.4
