Check out this killer 1963 Gibson ES-335 project! It has lived quite a life, which is why it is available at roughly a third (or less!) of the cost of an all-original example. It is a pretty good player as is, and has the potential to be an amazing guitar.

The pickups have been rewound, the neck pickup is a patent sticker, and the bridge pickup is a PAF. The ring of the bridge pickup was replaced, I do have the original but it is cracked. All electronics are original. The body has had a super-thin nitro overspray. The neck was repaired in the 70s. The neck was removed, about half of the neck was replaced and it was reset. The fretboard is the original. Bigsby is not factory but likely dealer-installed. The wishbone bridge also is not original. The action sits a little high, the action could get lower if an ABR-1 was reinstalled. The tuners have been modified to have slots in the top. There is a little bit of separation on the body that has been glued in the past, mostly around the neck, and a little on the end by the strap button. It has had a professional refret, the frets are still in great shape.
