Please Read Carefully:
I rate this USA All-Tube amplifier to be recently serviced, and in very good condition. I have noted all modifications from its original condition below and note that it shows the minor wear e. g, scrapes, knicks, and scratches here and there--but nothing major--that an amp over thirty-years old would naturally show. Please Read All before buying. Thank you.
I bought this amp in 2021. The previous owner replaced the speakers gleaned from a Line-6 combo which are Celestion Seventy-80's and they sound good and are in good condition, though they're not my favorite type of Celestion speaker. The amp was advertised with the back covers, but when I arrived the young college student living in his parents' beautiful home--who had already been paid for the amp--did not include them and did not care to look for them. The FS 22 footswitch--works like new, and in great condition--I purchased afterwards. I bought a piece of high-end poplar hobby board for woodworking, I cut it to fit the back cover, and I stained it dark walnut which looks quite dark. The previous owner obviously preferred the open back sound, but I prefer the amp to be as designed which is a closed back amp.
The pots were dirty and scratchy (a big peeve of mine), so I spent more than one can of WD-40 contact cleaner cleaning all of the pots and the inner wiring/circuit board of residue, dust, and built-up dirt for nice, quiet operation. The spring reverb tank was installed incorrectly (likely why the former owner chose to sell it), so I corrected this oversight which corrected its issues causing no damage and sounds great. I also replaced the main input jack which was damaged--likely someone tripped over a cord and broke it--with a brand-new British replacement which is solid now. I then replaced the existing Russian and Chinese junky tubes installed when I purchased this amp; I'm a stickler for true American NOS tubes. Now, this amp sounds great.
This amp will bias between 6L6GC, or EL34 power tubes. And the option to utilize 50% power instead of the full 100-watts is available.
My next, and last upgrade was to replace the speakers with Celestion Lead 80's (my personal favorite), which would have driven the cost up for the buyer. The speaker upgrade will also make this American amplifier sound even better. However, if you're not particular about higher quality speakers and would like to save some cash; you may pick it up before I make the upgrade driving up the price. It is my intention to do so in case this amplifier doesn't sell quickly enough (or perhaps not all) as I may decide to keep it afterwards as I'm fond of this hard-to-find amp
I'm a journeyman mechanic, and I don't like the tiny little wheels they put on amps, so I installed these large non-removable rolling locking casters. When spread apart and locked into place, this amplifier becomes very hard to push or knock over which was my goal. One caster has a quirk and will rotate left or right if turned hard, which is not supposed to once locked. However, since all the others will not rotate when locked into place, and all four-wheel chocks lock into place, this has really caused me no issues at all. This amp remains very stable and solid when locked into place.
NOTE: I will post this Amplifier for the top price which includes the tubes. However, I will make "make an offer" available in case you wish to purchase the amp without my USA upgraded tubes. I will likely accept your offer, and you will be shipped the amp without any power, or preamp tubes whatsoever for $500.00. This will allow you to buy the tubes you prefer. Everything else, e. g, footswitch, and Fender cover will be included minus the tubes. However, if you want my USA NOS tubes included in your purchase, you will choose the full price for $750.00. I don't intend to haggle otherwise.
Once more, this amp with no tubes Price: $500.00

Shipping/Local Pickup:
This boxed amplifier will weigh more than the allowed 70lbs limit. Therefore, it must be shipped by rail/freight.
NOTE: When I calculated a long distance to Pennsylvania the cost was $383.61 FedEx. This also includes a trip to the terminal to pick your package up.
I know the advert states a flat rate, but this may not be so. The flat rate is just an example of what it might cost to freight this amp to you. What I intend to do for the buyer is to calculate shipping to their zip code and consider their preferred shipper which may be different from FedEx. Your zip code may be a lower cost, or a higher cost depending upon your zip code/area.
If you live close enough, local pickup can be arranged in a safe and secure fashion. I will ship to the United States only. Buyer will calculate shipping and pay all shipping costs prior to shipping. UPS 2nd-Day Air will be selected unless buyer demands a different service for which the buyer will pay. The package will be marked "fragile" with the tubes securely bubble-wrapped in a separate box inside of the amp, inside of a heavy box. Package will be sent certified and will require a signature for security purposes. I prefer to have my valuables shipped to my hub, e. g, Fed-Ex, etc., to hold for me to pick up when it's convenient for me to pick up, so it's not left on my porch. However, you may have a much more secure situation.
I might be willing to ship to the UK, or Canada if the buyer finds this amp a "must have" and is willing to pay the extra shipping costs and trouble as I like to see people get what they want. Contact me first, and we will work it out with Reverb.
