Fender Vintage Hot Rod '50s Telecaster – US-Made 2013/2014 Limited Hot-Rodded Classic
For sale is a fantastic Fender Vintage Hot Rod '50s Telecaster (2013–2014 model). This is the American-made version that perfectly blends authentic '50s Tele vibe with smart modern upgrades that players actually want.
Built with a lightweight ash body and finished in Butterscotch Blonde, this guitar nails that classic Tele look while delivering expanded tonal options most vintage Teles can only dream of. The hot-rodded electronics and upgraded neck make it one of the most playable and versatile '50s-style Teles Fender ever produced.

- Compound-radius maple fingerboard (7.25"–12") with 21 medium-jumbo 6105 frets and black dot inlays

- Pickups: Custom Shop Broadcaster single-coil (bridge) + Fender Wide Range Special humbucker (neck)
- Special 4-way blade switch (bridge / both in parallel / neck / both in series) for expanded tonal range

- American Vintage 3-saddle string-through-body bridge with brass barrel saddles

This Tele sounds huge — the Broadcaster bridge pickup delivers that classic Tele twang and bite, while the Wide Range neck humbucker adds thickness and warmth. Flip to series mode and you get serious sustain and growl for leads and rhythm work. The compound-radius neck feels broken-in and fast, making it excellent for both chords and soloing.
The guitar is in Excellent overall condition. It has been professionally setup and plays beautifully with low action and no issues.
These Vintage Hot Rod models were produced in limited numbers and have become highly regarded for combining vintage aesthetics with real-world playability and tone. They don’t come up for sale often, especially in nice shape!
