Beneath the gloss body finish, Golden Era scalloped Adirondack spruce X-bracing — forward-shifted for enhanced bass response and dynamic headroom — allows the top to vibrate with exceptional freedom. The two-piece East Indian rosewood back and sides, finished to a complementary gloss, deliver the rich, complex overtones and bell-like sustain that rosewood is revered for across generations of players and recording artists.
The neck is shaped in Martin's GE Modified Low Oval profile with a high-performance taper, striking an ideal balance between vintage feel and modern playability. A black ebony fingerboard with Style 28 mother-of-pearl inlays provides a smooth, fast playing surface, and the 1.75-inch nut width at a 16-inch radius gives ample room for both intricate chord work and aggressive single-note runs.
