Vintage (1995) DW 3pc Kit - Custom Carlos Vega used kit.

It is part of a larger kit (the other pieces are MIA) that was used for various James Taylor tours and TV appearances.

The finish is a custom Cherry Red Stain with Clear Lacquer coating. The hardware is gold. The rack tom is 10" wide x 8" high. The mounted floor tom is 16" wide x 13" high. The bass drum is 22" wide x 18" high. The badges are black with DW gold. The date stamped is "SEPT 26 1995."

Carlos was my uncle. I inherited a few of his kits, but this one just sits in my studio and never gets used. It is in great condition for being 30 years old, and for being my primary kit from 1998 - 2006. It has been with me from Los Angeles to Houston for 2 years, to NYC for 3 years, and now in Philly for the past 10 years.

Only two people have played this kit, my uncle and I. Please be the third, and help keep my uncle's legacy alive! It has been around the world and shared the stage with world-class musicians!

NOTE: The bass drum spurs were stripped and replaced with chrome Gibraltar spurs by Pro Drum Shop in Hollywood, CA. (If they couldn't find matching replacements, no one could...at the time [c. 2002]).

There are also a few scuff marks, aka character-builders, but there are no dents or cracks in the shells.
