That's right folks, the coveted T40! This is one of the most versatile electric bass guitars out there. You can dial in almost any tone you might want, thanks to the solid construction and versatile pickups and wiring on this 1981 T40. You can spend hours exploring options to experiment with to find your own sound (or anyone else’s). The long scale, dense red oak body, stable maple neck and solid metal nut provide plenty of rich harmonics for the various switching options to key in on. This T40 also includes an out-of phase switch for use between pickups when placed in the middle position. These basses even have a single coil options as well, as the tone knob switches over from humbucker to single coil at the "7" position. These T40s hail from back in the days when lots of great wiring and switching options were in vogue. Peavey was out to make a distinctive mark in the market and they succeeded in crafting a timeless, still-sought-after instrument capable of handling almost any musical setting.
