CF Drive for Akai MPC 2000XL Complete Kit w/ Cables & 1GB Card (Not Hot-Swap)

This compact flash reader/writer kit is designed to replace the original Floppy or Zip drive in your MPC2000XL. The kit includes a Compact Flash (CF) card (as shown in the picture) along with all necessary cables for installation. These drives support CF cards up to 1GB in capacity (while larger cards may be used, they will be formatted to 1GB). To put this into perspective, a single 1GB CF card can store the equivalent of 711 floppy disks or 10 Zip100MB disks.

Included in the kit is everything required for seamless installation into your MPC. Please note that these drives are not hot-swappable, meaning the MPC must be powered off before changing the CF card.

Before installing the drive, it is essential to update your MPC 2000XL operating system to version 1.20. If you need the OS on Zip or floppy disk, please check these links:
