You're viewing a 1948 Martin 00-21 acoustic guitar. Originally purchased at Manny's Music in New York City. The guitar is in very good condition for a 40's vintage Martin. It was recently appraised at Elderly Music for $14,000. It features a double-bound 00 body, spruce top, Brazilian rosewood back and sides, 12-fret mahogany neck, Brazilian rosewood fretboard with dot inlays, Brazilian rosewood bridge, Brazilian rosewood headstock, and new Martin case. The guitar was worked on by Sweetwater and Elderly. The work was the following: neck re-set, nickel re-fret, deepen saddle slot and shave bridge to correct geometry, repaired slight crack in top, replaced missing small section of herringbone strip on back of guitar, new bone nut and bone saddle, and replaced tuners and pickguard. Previous pickguard and tuners included, along with the optional original case it was bought in(extra shipping). The guitar looks great and was appraised as very good condition by Elderly. It plays so well, and sounds fantastic! You can't get guitars built like this anymore. A definite collector’s piece.
