This is a vintage banjo tailpiece, made of heavy duty brass and nickel-plated. Measures 1” wide. Potentially made around the early 1890s. It closely resembles a 1891 tailpiece patent by Herschel Fenton, who sold banjos made for him by Buckbee.

It is not a reproduction. It has developed a nice patina consistent with its age.
