Vintage RARE 1968 Harmony H53 Rocket DeArmond Pickup Upgraded Electronics New Strings Pro Setup Original Soft Shell Case

A really cool 1968 Harmony Rocket Guitar with the Super Hot DeArmond Gold Foil Pickup......It has tons of player vibe, looks, and sound ...the guitar is Pro Setup and plays just great. One of the best Harmony necks I have found.....

These cool Single Pickups Harmony Rockets were made from 1962 to 1974. These Mostache Pickup Models with the Surrond were made from 1966 thru 1972...The date code on the DeArmond Pickup identifies it as a 1968... see pics 17 and 18. Very Cool!

This guitar is all original except for a few items... The pots were not original nor was the input jack. If they were quality items we would have left them but they were cheap Japanese pots...We replaced the pots and the input jack with CTS pots and a proper cap... It was also missing the pickguard. These Rockets just don't look right without them. We added the repro pickguard that looks cool on it... . All the knobs, tailpiece, Waverly Tuners, nut, frets and Harmony Bridge .. you name it...all original and in great shape. Only superficial dings here and there. This guitar is in fabulous shape!

The guitar has a 24 inch scale neck..The nut measures 1 3/4 inches...Nice C neck profile...

There is nothing that detracts from the big booming sound of this cool guitar...It has super super low action and it sounds HUGE....If you have never heard these Pickups...you are in for a treat...They sound great!!..

The sound of these guitars are really 50's and 60's blues, jazz, country, and rock......It has a that distinctive Harmony sound .....The neck is great.......the action is low and the neck is very comfortable to play.. You will not want to put his one down when you get it..its a blast to play......I have enjoyed playing it and know it will be a treasured guitar to who ever is lucky enough to get this guitar...

Check out the original case. We cleaned it up a little and its still with the guitar. All three latches, hinges and original handle are still here. It even still has the accessory box in it. What time capsule this guitar and case is! Check the pics!

Now this guitar is beautiful but given its age it is sold as-is and is not returnable. Thanks for respecting that.
