The Vermona DRM1 MkII is a fully analog drum synthesizer module from the renowned German manufacturer, built on pure analog circuitry that generates sounds from oscillators, filters, and noise sources rather than samples.
Its kicks have deep tunable sub-bass, its snares have a sharp crackling analog snap, and its hi-hats and cymbals have an open metallic shimmer that is difficult to achieve with digital sampling. This 3-chip EPROM set captures the DRM1 MkII's signature sounds and loads them into your HR-16 or HR-16B, giving you warm, punchy German analog character from the HR-16's 16-pad interface and four individual outputs.
An ideal choice for electronic, industrial, EBM, and techno production.
What's Included:
- 3x custom-programmed EPROM chips (drop-in replacement for stock HR-16 / HR-16B sound ROMs)
- Sounds from the Vermona DRM1 MkII
- Bonus: upgrades your HR-16 OS to v2.0
- No soldering required — chip swap only
Compatible with: Alesis HR-16 and HR-16B
Note: For HR-16B, chip orientation is reversed — EPROM 16 installs into socket U15. Browse my other listings for more HR-16 EPROM sound sets and Alesis parts, or DM me for anything you don't see listed.
