Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

You are looking at an older Calrad model DM-9 dynamic microphone from the 1950's or 60's era. This unique microphone was an earlier model offered by Calrad and was a general purpose microphone in a high Z setting. It comes with the period Calrad DS-2 stand shown in which to display.

It should be noted right away that while this mic still has the original element the mic no longer works. This mic should be used for display, prop or repair purposes only. It will make a nice accent piece anywhere it sits.

That DM-9 microphone comes with original satin black paint and nice chrome accents. The metal mesh screen shows a little wear in the form of tarnish but overall not too shabby. The Calrad badge looks very nice and completely legible. The all metal body has a few small paint chips and scratches.

There is a deep scratch on the bezel of the front grill as seen in pic # 11.

This mic model is appx 4 inches long X 1 1/2 inches wide and it will screw onto any American vintage stand as the thread is the universal 5/8. The tightening screw on the joint mechanism works just as it should.

MICROPHONE STAND SHOWN IS PART OF THIS SALE...

The stand is a rarer Calrad DS-2 model that is period to the mic. It's got a white plastic base with polished chrome riser. The stand compliments the microphone very well and the wide base makes for a stable platform. Total dimensions with mic and stand are 10 1/2 inches tall X 5 inches wide.

A nice piece to display anywhere in the home, studio or office.

 I'd give the mic a solid 7 + on a scale of 1 - 10.

As with all my vintage microphones...

I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not...I have a no hassle return policy. The shipping will be on you as I believe that's fair but the purchase price would be refunded. Simply return in the same nice condition...period. Check my rating. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS are welcome as well. Buyer must pay within 24 hours or an unpaid case will be opened and the item will be relisted. Domestic and foreign buyer will get priority shipping.

If you have any questions feel free to ask and...thanks for looking.
