1997 Guild USA DV-52 NTS (NT=natural top, S= satin finish) dreadnought acoustic guitar from their Dreadnaught Vintage series in the Natural nitrocellulose lacquer finish over a solid AAA Spruce top and solid Indian Rosewood back & sides; looks great, plays easily and sounds wonderful both acoustically and amplified. • Abalone sound hole rosette
  
• Scalloped forward shifted bracing 
• Ebony fretboard inlaid with pearl dots 
• Ebony bridge 
• Mahogany neck 
• Gold Grover tuners 
• Black veneer headstock with pearloid inlaid “Guild” logo & Guild “Chesterfield”. 
• Fishman active pickup
• Produced from 1992 to 2001, the DV-52 is known by many for it's deep/rich rosewood and spruce tone, and the late nineties models with the abalone sound hole ring (instead of herringbone) are said to be the best of the run.

This instrument was made in Guild's Westerly Rhode Island factory in 1997, and was selected and sold by Matt Umanov in NYC.   It's in excellent to very good condition with only the very slightest scratches and moderate fret wear; it was just professionally serviced.  It has the following very slight defects, typical of Guilds, all of which are shown in the pictures; all required repairs have been made.  
- Typical of this model, slight finish flaws next to the binding in a couple of spots.
- 3 barely visible hairline cracks: 1 where the neck approaches the soundhole (reinforcement done to avoid any future cracking - see pictures), 2 near bridge/pickguard.
- A couple of hairline breaks in the binding (binding is sealed and tight)
